On 21st of November, the DAAD Information Centre Pune held its annual network meet at Ramee Grand Hotel in Pune. For this annual event, partners, friends and collaborators from different fields come together.
This year the meet saw research representatives from institutions such as IISER and NCL, faculty members of different universities and colleges from India and Germany and also industry partners and members of the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce and German based in Pune. Consul General of Germany in Mumbai, Dr. Jürgen Morhard, addressed the gathering, speaking warmly of the close academic, cultural and economic connections between India and Germany.
At the meet the DAAD IC Pune presented their activities in 2017 and introduced the new projects lined up for 2018, as well as different types of DAAD funding available for both students and faculty. Also included was a short outlook on changes in the academic sector, such as the rise of Indian students studying in Germany.
The DAAD IC Pune is looking forward to new projects in collaboration with partners in the new year.
