The Falling Walls Lab India 2020 organised by the DAAD, DWIH – New Delhi and IIT Kanpur took place online in presence of over 270 members of audience on 21 August 2020. The competition in which 14 young researchers and entrepreneurs pitched their groundbreaking research or products had experts from Germany and India on the jury.

Varinder Singh: Breaking the Wall of Converting Crop Waste into Wealth – MOKSH - Falling Walls Lab India First Runner Up
Priyanka Sharma: Breaking the Wall of High Speed Communications - Falling Walls Lab India Second Runner Up
Tushar Goswamy: Breaking the Wall of Polio Recurrence in India - Audience Choice Award
Kavya Ganesan: Breaking the Wall of RFID Signboards Detection Systems
FWL winner Suraj Mohan will further contest in the Fallings Walls Lab finale in November 2020, while the DAAD Entrepreneurship Prize Winner Varinder Singh willl participate in the entrepreneurship bootcamp organised by the DAAD. All the winners will get coaching and mentor ship sessions from our partners in Germany- Fraunhofer, RWTH Aachen University and Technical University of Dortmund.
