The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) announces the programme ‘SDG Partnerships’ with the funds provided by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), Germany. Funding is available for establishing partnerships between German higher education institutions and higher education institutions in developing countries. The programme focuses on planning, developing, and realising higher education partnerships that give rise to a sustainable promotion of structures at partner institutions in teaching, research, and research management.
The overall long-term programme objectives align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) reiterated in the 2030 Agenda by UN for sustainable development, and aim at establishing internationally networked high-performing higher education institutions in the partner countries.
Who can apply: German higher education institutions, university hospitals and non-university research facilities
Duration: 01.01.2022 – 31.12.2025
Beneficiaries: Academics, students, graduates, doctoral students and administrative staff of higher education institutions
Value/Funding Amount: Maximum Funding € 300,000 over 4 years
