One of DAAD’s most expansive programme designed to promote the German language and culture abroad, the DAAD Lektorenprogramm is one that offers stellar support to universities in the fields of German Studies in India.
With their excellent training and teaching experience, the DAAD Lecturers are sought after experts when it comes to all things German. Students and faculty alike benefit from their teaching expertise through attractive courses that span various subjects like Literature, Linguistics, DaF (German as a Foreign Language) and much more. Moreover, they also serve as cultural ambassadors and support the DAAD with activities like scholarship counselling and disseminating information about study and research in Germany. Organising and implementing the language placement test OnSET is also a task they take on during their stay in India.
Currently the DAAD has lecturers placed at German departments in three Indian Universities – Delhi University, Savitribai Phule Pune University and at the Jawaharlal Nehru University New Delhi.
