The interactions with the faculty and students gave a deeper insight into the education and research system as well as in the innovation activities in higher education institutions in India. Visits to different labs offered a first-hand insight into the current research activities. Furthermore, the students at these colleges and universities also took the opportunity to demonstrate their projects, innovations and start-ups to the members of the delegation.
The highlight in both cities were the match-making sessions wherein the more than 35 representatives from Indian institutions from Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Odisha and West Bengal interacted and discussed various possibilities for a future collaboration with the participating HAWs. The fact-finding mission ended in New Delhi with a networking dinner reception with German organisations, research institutions and universities present in India.
