FUBiS is an intensive academic program of Freie Universität Berlin through which students can earn credits that may be counted toward their degrees at their home institutions. FUBiS sessions run for 3 to 6 weeks and take place both in summer and winter (on-site and online).
The FUBiS program 2022 takes place in three terms:
• FUBiS Term I: January 3 – January 26, 2022 (3 weeks)
• FUBiS Term II: June 4 – July 16, 2022 (6 weeks)
• FUBiS Term III: July 23 – August 20, 2022 (4 weeks)
Students can choose between subject courses (mostly taught in English) and German language courses. The subject courses are offered within fields such as Politics, Law, History, Economics, Sustainability, Media Studies, Architecture, Art History, Literature, Philosophy, Film, and Music. The ‘German Language and Culture’ courses are offered on up to five different levels of proficiency.
On-Site: Field trips are an integral part of all our courses. In addition, FUBiS offers excursions such as to the Berlin Reichstag, a River Boat Tour through Downtown Berlin, a Street Art Tour or day and weekend trips to German cities.
