Within the uniquely broad spectrum of the Faculty of Chemistry at the University of Stuttgart, you will strengthen your conceptual and analytical skills, while being introduced to the targeted execution of research projects. Our master’s study program is highly flexible and designed to meet your individual interests and abilities. The first two semesters are devoted to a homogenization phase with lectures, laboratories and seminars. During the second and third semesters, you will have the opportunity to specialize within our four research profiles:
- Sustainable Synthesis and Catalysis
- Smart Materials and Functional Molecules
- Biological Chemistry and Biotechnology
- Theory and Simulation in Chemistry and Materials Sciences
Two elective research internships will give you a first insight into the state-of-the-art research at the Faculty of Chemistry, or at the neighboring Fraunhofer and Max-Planck Institutes and in industry. You will complete this program with your master’s thesis in the fourth semester.
Application period for the winter semester: February 1 – July 15
