The agreement aims to support and improve international relations as well as bilateral research cooperation. This exchange is open to all subject fields.

Bilateral exchange through this agreement is open to faculty, academicians, and scientists from IITs and CSIR labs. It funds travel, research stays of CSIR S&T personnel and IIT faculty at state or state-recognised universities or non-university research institutes in Germany along with research stays of German academics, scientists in India at CSIR institutes / IITs.

Under this bilateral exchange programme, a visit of the Indian faculty / scientist to Germany and corresponding German counterparts to India should be agreed upon.

The call for ‘Bilateral exchange of academics’ has been announced this month for the visits in 2024. The duration of the stay is 14 days – 3 months.
