The DAAD Regional Office in New Delhi office, established in 1960, promotes academic exchange between Germany and India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal and Sri Lanka. It provides information about education in Germany, grants scholarships to students, invites scientists from Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal and Sri Lanka to Germany as well as those from Germany to these countries, and supports bilateral research projects.

DAAD in India provides information about education in Germany, grants scholarships to students, invites scientists from Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal and Sri Lanka to Germany as well as those from Germany to these countries, and supports bilateral research projects.

DAAD in Bangladesh

The DAAD activities in Bangladesh are carried out by the Regional Office in New Delhi with support of the DAAD Information Point in Dhaka.

DAAD in Bhutan

The DAAD Regional Office New Delhi provides information and guidance on study, research and funding opportunities in Germany and Bhutan.

DAAD in Nepal

The DAAD Office in New Delhi is also responsible for carrying out DAAD activities in Nepal.

DAAD in Sri Lanka

The DAAD activities in Sri Lanka are carried out by the Regional Office in New Delhi with support of the DAAD Information Point in Colombo.

DAAD Network

The DAAD has a strong network of Lektors, Language Assistants, Young Ambassadors, Research Ambassadors and alumni in the region encompassing India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal and Sri Lanka.
