This one-day workshop, Scientific Computing and AI for the Sciences: From Plant Stress to PDEs, brings together researchers and students to explore how mathematical modelling, numerical methods, and artificial intelligence are transforming discovery across the life sciences, applied mathematics, and engineering. Through a series of focused talks and interactive discussions, participants will engage with experts working at the intersection of plant stress biology, numerical analysis of partial differential equations, physics-informed neural networks, and GPU-accelerated scientific computing.
With active participation from German researchers, including early-career scholars and senior academics, the workshop aims to foster meaningful dialogue on emerging computational approaches and international research collaborations. Designed especially for master’s and doctoral students, the event highlights interdisciplinary research opportunities and academic pathways in Germany. Sessions will focus not only on cutting-edge methodological advancements but also on how global partnerships can shape the future of scientific computing, AI-driven research, and higher education.
