Lektors and Language Assistants

DAAD appoints visiting faculty (Lektoren) for German as a foreign language and other disciplines at various universities in the region. DAAD Lektors provide information about German language, culture, society, history, politics and support the host universities with expertise and information about developments in the field. DAAD also sends DAAD Language Assistants (Sprachassistenten) to universities. They are fresh graduates or postgraduates from Germany who have specialised in German Studies or German as a Foreign Language. They teach German language.
